Julianus
Julianus is a Praetor-class android legal observer assigned by Fairhold to ensure repossession compliance and neutral oversight. Julianus is designed to embody Fairhold’s claim that neutral procedure can replace political authority. His presence aboard a repo vessel is meant to reassure all parties that contracts will be followed, but the crew experiences him as surveillance given a body. His rigid legal architecture later becomes one of the foundations from which Jules develops a far more complicated sense of justice.
