World
Irrakai
Irrakai is an isolated, ruined Osharré world with no slipstream connections. Beneath its swamps, basalt fields, and nuclear-scarred plains, parts of Irrakai City still function and surviving Selkaré remain among the ruins.

The planet is isolated from the recognized slipstream network, making any expedition dependent on conventional FTL or technology not ordinarily available to human crews. Official histories describe Irrakai as a dead world, but surviving records contain enough inconsistencies to keep the planet at the center of disputes over Osharran history and Reinhardt-Vance’s earliest research. Irrakai is a ruined Osharré world marked by swampy lowlands, broken basalt, ash-gray plains, and broad circular scars where cities once stood. Its rapid rotation creates short, disorienting cycles of light and darkness, while its unstable geology and damaged infrastructure make surface travel difficult.
Spoilers
Irrakai is not deserted: surviving Selkaré and a damaged underground city remain active there, and the accepted history of the Far Traveler mission was deliberately falsified.
