Deeks understands the Hard Bargain as a living system rather than a collection of components. She knows its handling quirks, acceleration limits, blind spots, and the noises that signal trouble before an instrument does. Her humor often disguises how closely she is monitoring the crew. She is usually the first to recognize when Cal’s plans have crossed from merely risky into physically impossible.
