IOC Harmony is a next-generation Intercorporate Oversight Council warship commanded by Captain Adrien Roche. It is faster, better armed, and more technologically sophisticated than ordinary commercial or repo vessels. The ship operates dark and attempts to intercept the Hard Bargain and Star Jasmine during their movement toward Irrakai. Harmony’s systems are hardened against electronic attack and capable of sustained high-acceleration pursuit. Its weapons and sensor range allow it to dictate engagements against civilian vessels. The ship’s role is not limited to arrest or inspection; it can destroy targets whose knowledge or behavior threatens Ministry control. The name Harmony is deliberately bureaucratic and reassuring, consistent with the IOC’s claim to coordinate corporate interests. In practice, the ship enforces harmony by eliminating independent actors and contradictory information. Its polished institutional identity conceals a military platform optimized for deniable intervention.
