Evergreen Station

Evergreen Station is a large fortified orbital station in the Delos system and the headquarters of Nikolai Drahn’s criminal and political network. Its main structure is an enormous ring surrounded by patchwork additions, weapons emplacements, antenna arrays, docking modules, and reinforced service structures accumulated over decades. The station is functional rather than elegant. Its public corridors and working areas are built from dark, utilitarian metal and are monitored through cameras, access controls, guards, and compartment checkpoints. Docking operations are tightly supervised, and visitors move through spaces designed to make clear that they remain under Drahn’s protection only so long as they obey his rules. Drahn’s private and administrative areas offer a different environment. Boardrooms, reception rooms, medical facilities, and guest spaces use polished surfaces, deliberate lighting, quality food, and controlled comfort to project wealth and authority. The contrast between these areas and the station’s industrial sections reinforces Drahn’s position as both host and ruler. Evergreen Station functions as fortress, court, commercial port, and political capital. El Atajo uses it to coordinate intelligence, protection arrangements, smuggling, enforcement, and relations with the Delos government. Its internal compartmentalization makes individual sections defensible and allows damaged or compromised areas to be isolated, but the same design can trap occupants when routes are cut off.
