Ship physician aboard the Far Traveler and keeper of a firsthand journal of the Irrakai disaster

Titus Durein is a physician who served as ship doctor aboard the Far Traveler mission to Irrakai. He survives to leave a steady firsthand journal that later exposes major gaps in the official account. Years afterward, he is described as living in seclusion in Lanzhou after resigning from Reinhardt-Vance. His later protection of Maren suggests that his personal loyalty ultimately outweighs his obligations to Reinhardt-Vance or the official history.

Titus survives the Irrakai catastrophe, and his journal later becomes crucial evidence that the official account of the mission was falsified. He also helps Maren Renn conceal her condition after the expedition.
