Sloane Paskova was the Reinhardt-Vance executive who organized the Far Traveler mission, a logistics-minded power broker who speaks fluent risk management. Paskova frames every scientific opportunity in terms of financing, deliverables, and institutional survival. She is not indifferent to discovery, but she understands that wonder does not keep a corporation solvent. Her recruitment of Davis and organization of the expedition make her one of the people most responsible for both its achievements and the conditions that lead to disaster.
