Ronan Carney
The Hard Bargain’s former Chief Repossession Officer, a large, knife-loving man killed during a previous repo operation. Carney’s death is part of the inherited trauma of the Hard Bargain. The crew remembers his physical confidence and direct methods, but also the ambush that proved toughness was not enough. Cal’s appointment as his replacement therefore feels insulting and dangerous to them: a corporate lawyer has been inserted into a role previously occupied by someone built for violence.
