Leonard Hale

An elderly Arenal client suffering from pulmonary fibrosis and early vascular dementia. Hale enters Arenal because his failing body and cognition make continuity feel urgent rather than theoretical. His case forces the developers to decide how much impairment belongs to the person being preserved. Removing every symptom risks creating an idealized stranger; retaining them risks reproducing the very decline the client hoped to escape.
