Jonas Pike
Jonas Pike was security officer for the Far Traveler, deceased, and the kind of professional who ends up holding the line while everyone else argues. Pike’s security role places him between scientists eager to learn and commanders increasingly afraid of contamination. He is expected to enforce decisions made by others while judging immediate threats with incomplete information. His death becomes one of the human costs later compressed or omitted by the official version of the mission.
