Cal Ransom
Once a corporate lawyer more concerned with winning than with the truth, Cal got chewed up the moment he noticed the rules were being quietly rewritten. After TrustUs! cuts him loose, he ends up on the Hard Bargain and, through a technicality weaponized by Cassandra Vail, becomes its captain.
Cal leads like a man still allergic to heroism: cautious, procedural, and constantly trying to keep everyone alive with a quick wit and improvisation. He is at his best when the only weapons on the table are timing, leverage, and a clause nobody bothered to read.
